However, as entertaining as these advertisements are, they might draw attention away from a more realistic concern; namely, if you’re considering buying a minivan, do you want one that is an efficient, spacious and inexpensive people mover, or do you want one that has a place to hold a disco ball? On paper, the two minivans are truly pretty similar. Both offer a 3.5L V6 powertrain as standard, both seat seven passengers pretty comfortably, and both have long been lauded for their reliability. Also, the Quest is more spacious; it offers an extra 14 cubic feet of passenger volume, while front seat passengers are afforded several extra inches of legroom and headroom. And since its sticker price falls more than $2,000 beneath the Sienna, there’s more money left over to spend on other things.
