Starting things off for Houston-area drivers is the Rogue S, which offers the Rogue’s single powertrain, a 2.5L four-cylinder engine mated to an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Along with the standard 33 highway mpg and 170 hp, the S offers buyers 17-inch steel wheels, keyless entry, a 40/20/40-split backseat and a RearView Monitor on a 5-inch color display. The S also offers Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, an iPod/USB interface, a CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. It’s worth noting that third-row seating, allowing for up to seven passengers, is available on only the S and SV trim levels.
